Do you realize how powerful you are? You have years of experience in the things that you love. You have a passion for the talents you have developed.
I used to be ashamed to share what I have done over the years. I always felt that I needed to embellish myself… but no longer! I have been making donuts for the last 38 years at The Donutman in Glendora California. Yes, I have done other things over the course of years. But for now, I had to get this off my chest. I don’t know why I was ashamed of making donuts. We have been featured multiple times in the Los Angeles Times, Orange County Tribune,San Gabriel Times and The New Yorker just to mention some of the publications. On TV I have been on the Huell Howser show “California Gold”, The Cooking Channel and The Food Network. In social media, my YouTube donut videos have had 20,000+ views and we have over 12,000 followers on Facebook with 1000′s of active followers.
Why have I felt ashamed? It seems ridiculous after taking this inventory.
Time to take off those dirty rotten shame garments and view myself as others do. Easier said than done but it is all about the journey.
