I received an e-mail the other day from Elance. In their newsletter
they profiled two guys who built the business just with Elance. Elance is an outsourcing company with experts from around the world that can do just about anything that is technology related. They can write blog post for you. They can develop programs for you. They can be a personal assistant for you.
In this article, Two Guys in a Garage Build a Business with Elance they explain how two 26 year old guys can start and maintain an $800,000 a year business with limited resources and only a few hours a week.
After reading the article, my eyes were open to the possibilities of outsourcing much of my work. Not necessarily the creative side of the work but the mundane, every day drudgery kind of work. I also realized that instead of learning the different programming languages I could outsource those tasks to people who already know how to program. That alone would save me over a year’s worth of time and that’s priceless.
I have used the Elance in the past but nothing like what these guys have done. My lack of expertise in the past has held me from moving forward but not any more!
